HSE Policy

Statement of Principles

The management team hold the firm conviction that achieving high standards in HSE performance is essential for long term business success.  This means protecting the health and safety of our people and of those affected by our business, the protection of our physical assets and the prevention of pollution of the environment.

Hansa Hydrocarbons is committed to: 

  • providing a healthy, safe and secure work environment;
  • protecting the environment by reducing or avoiding any adverse effects and impacts of our operations on the environment;
  • complying with all applicable legal requirements and other applicable industry standards.

Implementation

We will ensure that:

  • all management decisions reflect our HSE intentions;
  • all personnel, whether employees or contractors, are aware of their delegated HSE responsibilities and are properly trained to undertake these responsibilities;
  • all HSE risks and impacts arising from our business are identified and evaluated and that risk management measures are put in place to reduce the risks and impacts to as low as reasonably practicable;
  • when conducting operations the best available industry practice for the that particular activity is encouraged and appropriately resourced;
  • we take account of stakeholder HSE concerns through involving and consulting with communities and government authorities where we operate;
  • contingency plans and resources are in place to respond to incidents and emergencies;
  • appropriate resources will be made available to implement this policy; 
  • this Policy is compiled with and continual HSE improvement is achieved by setting expectations and objectives, monitoring performance, and conducting regular audits and reviews to ensure our controls are effective;
  • we regularly review this Policy as our activities expand.
